About the GAD-7
The GAD-7 was developed by Drs. Robert Spitzer, Kurt Kroenke, Janet Williams, and Bernd Löwe and is free to use. It screens for generalized anxiety disorder and also performs reasonably well as a general screen for panic disorder, social anxiety, and PTSD-related anxiety. Clinicians use it both for initial screening and to track symptoms during treatment.
